Our Environmental Club was out in the bush – Bush Ways Foundation and Elephants for Africa

Between the 10th and 13th of May 2019, thirty standard seven students from Khumaga Primary School came into the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park for 24-hours each. Accompanying the students were eight parents and teachers. During each two-day, one-night trip, the participants went on two game drives, heard from a range of professionals in the conservation and tourism industries, participated in multiple activities and heard about Elephants for Africa’s (EfA’s) research activities. One of the local projects we as Bush Ways are supporting is the Bed Night Bank initiated by one of our partners #TravelforImpact and Safari Destinations – Botswana & Zimbabwe. Travel for Impact is a social enterprise that links the travel industry with local community projects in Northern Botswana. Shelter and security in Khwai – Naletsana Charity

Bush Ways Foundation engaged in a project of Naletsana Charity Organization in partnership with Fuel Defend Global, which focussed on the Khwai community and its surrounding areas. Seeing as the main goal of this initiative is to ensure safe shelter is provided for those living in wilderness areas, our recent trip team members helped to paint one of the houses that was built by the project. Bush Ways Foundation has always found it worthy to give back and this year it was to the people of the Ditshiping village in the Delta. Home to approximately 150 people this close-knit society has through the years found ways to sustain itself through its community Trust,by the provision of polers and guides fortourists that camp within the area.
